WEll, well, well !!! it's the 21st of june, do u know what that is ????????

It’s “Fete de la Musique” or “Fete of Muzik”, it’s the big day 4 celebratin’ muzik.

& I’ve been celebratin’ that day 4 about 3 years now, every year the event (here in cairo, Egypt) is organized by the (French Cultural Center) & the ministry of culture.

It’s all about playin’ non-stop muzik from 6:30 pm till 1am (the followin’ day)…

Lots of muzik bands playin’ Live, singin’ ... & of course ppl r dancin’, singin' & enjoyin’ the muzik.

This year it was held @ a public park (opposite to the cairo opera house ), there were lots of muzik bands playin’ Egyptian ethnic muzik ... & there was a bit of Rock @ the end of the day.

2 massive hits of the day were …..

* Fathy salama & his band “sharkiat”:
Egyptian muzik writer, dealin’ with “World Muzik” for over 20 years now, reformin’ & blendin’ Egyptian ethnic muzik with other flavors ... Techno, Electronica, Afrikan beats, Jazz & Rock ...

* -M- (Matthieu Chedid):
a French Rocker, great guitarist he’s been doin’ lots of licks & riffs, keepin’ ppl dancin’, singin’ a long (though French’s not widely spoken here in Egypt , me , myself no nothin’ in French :D
But ppl were dancin’ jammin’ for the muzik which was amazin’.

It was a very great experience 4 me, I enjoyed it a lot ……….
